Election Day (Rewrite)

What is Election Day? Some may think that it is just another ordinary day; however, it is more than just another day. In this modern century, everyone including men and women gets a chance to vote. Unlike the past century where only men got to vote, things have changed since than. Election Day is a day where all citizens, who can and don’t have to participate in the government, can go out and cast their votes. Each year, competitions are high, several campaigns are taken place, and signs are posted everywhere to let the communities know who they think would best run for office. The people can vote for a government official who they think is right to lead the nation. So indeed the people’s votes are important. The Election Day event is very important, in concern of the people, to pick the right official or who they think is best for their country. To me, it gives the people opportunities in which they can take part in their government, yet they can have the right to vote according to the Constitution. That day, as I left for school, I passed several campaign signs and saw school’s parking lots filled with cars where people were trying to vote. I didn’t get the chance to vote this time. However, I will next time cause every vote counts. To check cast of polling, click here. Good luck to all candidates!
